Literacy Narrative Sketch Two

For my second literacy moment, I can surely trace myself back to early elementary school. Where we would have been constantly assigned things that orbited the concept of writing short stories, often being linked loosely, if not entirely related to our own real life experiences. I can definitely say that I thoroughly enjoyed writing about these events in my young life. It is safe for me to assume, that they typically consisted of various sports moments or almost surely about my dogs and Guinea Pigs. Being that this was around eight to ten years ago, I would have a great amount of difficulty recalling the exact stories and details from those days. I would most certainly typically write about my games from the prior weekend or about the build up to the next one.

No matter the grade or subject, each classroom generally followed the same basic arrays for arranging them together. Commonly you would find yourself in neat ordered rows or in a jagged large horseshoe. I remember quite fondly of how excited all of the kids in my classes would get, whenever we got to push our desks around and rearrange the room we were staying in for the year. All of my early childhood friends and teachers are all impactful and influential characters in my moment of literacy. Whether they pushed, helped, or guided me.

This is definitely and important moment for me, particularly because it makes me remember the good times I used to have back when things were oh so simpler. I’ve developed almost a sort of nostalgic type of tendency when I think of these assignments. They gave me a type of creative confidence that constantly would carry me throughout the days and weeks. I can certainly contribute any of my creative potential when it comes to literature to the time I spent in those classrooms.
