Bio Lab 106

BIO  106  is  an  introduction  for  students  to  basic  concepts  and  unifying  principles  of  cellular  biology, genetics,  and  molecular  biology.  The  goal  of  the  laboratory  portion  of  the  course  is  to  give  students  a hands-on  experience  that  reinforces  the  concepts  covered  in  the  lecture  portion  of  the  course,  as  well  as learning  basic  laboratory  techniques.  BIO  106  is  a  required  course  for  all  Biology  majors,  as  well  as  some other  majors,  and  a  prerequisite  for  many  upper  level  courses  in  the  Biology  Department.

In this course we took the concepts that we learned in lecture, and applied them to a more of a hands on technique during lab. Throughout the semester we worked with gene based labs, as well as the processes of handling and transforming diseases and molecular level
