Individualized Error

Included above, is my working rough draft of paper 3, as well as every comment left by my peer review group. A seeming recurring theme for me when it comes to the comments left on my papers, going back to my other papers as well is the presence of extra commas that aren’t needed. I seem to have a tendency to add more commas into my paper than are needed, maybe due to me hearing it in my head with more pauses in between words. On the paper, it was marked at each spot that maybe didn’t need to have a comma there. I’ve tried to take these edits and apply them to my more recent writings, but it still seems to be something I do, though it seems to be less abundant. Another mark that gets made sometimes is, I tend to have not necessarily run on sentences, but groups of sentences that should probably have a period thrown in there. For me, it was more about finding transition words that make it easier to add more periods in there. It isn’t really something I’m concerned with, as it isn’t nearly as common now for me as it may have been in the past. These can be referred to comma-spliced run-ons. I feel that through knowing this stuff, I’ve certainly gotten better at proofreading my papers even before peer review in order to minimize these individual errors.
