For my groups semester ending project, we looked into the issues and threats that our rain forest currently face today, as well as those they’ll face in the very near future. Some of the specifics that we dove into, were the rapid deforestation of these areas as well as the poisoned climates we create. For this project, not only did we just discuss and point out these issues, but presented solutions that we perceived as valid and economically possible. We discovered how the increase in deforestation in the area, not only simply decreases the oxygen output from those areas, but it results in the endangering and extinction of the local species. The increased runoff from the industrial companies in the area also endanger and damage the surrounding environments that they weren’t directly destroying. It’s a serious issue that needs to be addressed, and one that can be easily solved.
