Integrating Ideas

March 19 HW

This assignment was used to help me analyze and understand the writings and readings that we were to be working with while producing out literacy narrative analysis. In this, I went through each article and pulled out what seemed like the more important aspects that I may or may not be able to use at a later time in order to support or outline an idea. In this assignment, there isn’t really much evidence of a direct text to text connection being made, but there are certainly overlapping ideas present between the three articles that are being analyzed in the assignment. This quote out of Sponsors of Literacy, “Literacy narratives identify cultural constructions.   342” connects and has a similar message as the following, “Presence is limited by socioeconomic, political, generational Stances. 330” I make several  notes, that are text to evidence applicable. Filled with annotations that relate the text to the topic we’re attempting to touch on. ““the rhetoric of literacy narratives, particularly the effective force of narrative rhetoric, participates in the constitution of literacy-related experiences and their value” (p. 323) 331” This quote entails that a literacy narrative revolves around the personal experiences and values of the writer, and vaguely describes how these factors influence a writers ideas.
